Developed by the European Partnership for Democracy (EPD) and the Centre for Elections, Democracy, Accountability and Representation (CEDAR) at the University of Birmingham, with input from a diverse Youth Panel, the GYPI offers data-driven insights to close gaps in youth participation and strengthen democratic engagement worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To begin the conversation, the&nbsp;<strong>Youth Democracy Cohort<\/strong>&nbsp;welcomes&nbsp;<strong>Nic Cheeseman<\/strong>, professor of democracy at the University of Birmingham and&nbsp;<strong>Dr Sarah Pickard,&nbsp;<\/strong>professor and researcher at the Universit&eacute; Sorbonne Nouvelle. Both Nic and Sarah are core contributors of the Global Youth Participation Index (GYPI). This session will highlight key findings, regional trends, and actionable recommendations.
