This project aims to raise the voices of youth with disabilities in Nepal\u2019s political discourse and increase their representation in governance. By addressing barriers to participation and advocating for equal opportunities, BYAN seeks to create a more inclusive youth movement in Nepal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Objectives<\/strong> <strong>of the project<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Raise Awareness<\/strong>: Advocate for the inclusion of youth with disabilities in civil society organisations (CSOs) and youth-led movements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Support Participation<\/strong>: Facilitate the involvement of youth with disabilities in local government planning and decision-making processes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Promote Human Rights<\/strong>: Enhance the knowledge of youth with and without disabilities about democracy, civil rights, and political rights, fostering a culture of human rights in youth-led political parties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Highlights<\/strong> &amp; <strong>Deliverables<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Youth Sensitisation<\/strong>: 20 young leaders and youth parliamentarians were sensitised on the political participation of youth with disabilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Dialogue Engagement<\/strong>: More than 250 young people, both with and without disabilities, participated in dialogues to promote the inclusion of youth with disabilities in the mainstream youth movement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Workshops and Advocacy<\/strong>: Three provincial workshops were conducted, empowering 50-60 youth with disabilities with knowledge on democracy, civil rights, and political participation, and preparing them to engage in local advocacy campaigns.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p
