Dr. Seun Fakorede is the Hon. Commissioner for Youth & Sports, Oyo State Government, Nigeria and a United Nations Ambassador for Peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is the founder of the non-profit organisation Home Advantage Africa that advocates for social development and youth empowerment.

Seun is a recipient of the Politician of the Year Award 2022 by One Young World and the Future Awards Africa Prize for Governance 2020. In addition to being called \u00ab\u00a0Irawo Oodua\u00a0\u00bb (Shining Star) of Yoruba Land, he received the Royal African Young Leadership Award from the Ooni of Ife, Ogunwusi II, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi. He is a firm believer that more African Youth will lead a tremendous impact in the next few years than ever before. Through seminars, conferences, and other platforms, he promotes leadership development and accountability for Millennials as critical indicators of Africa’s development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is also a registered Engineer, Entrepreneur, Consultant and Doctor of Philosophy in Public Administration (Honoris Causa), and a Fellow of the Institute of Entrepreneurship Management and Human Resources Development Professionals, deeply invested in grassroots community development and advocacy in Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mission of his non-profit organization, Home Advantage Africa, is to engage young people early in leadership, social entrepreneurship, politics, and governance. Seun’s expertise lies in coordinating and leading administrative and operational functions for senior-level personnel and executives as a proactive, seasoned and dedicated professional with nearly a decade of experience providing comprehensive administrative, operational and managerial support to various organisations and governments. He excels at delivering remarkable results and driving optimal efficiency and success. A passionate advocate for Youth Empowerment, Good Governance, and Nation Building, Seun Fakorede focuses on Sustainable Development and Leadership that result in national socio-economic transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The WYDE Civic Engagement<\/strong> Network of Young Decision-Makers<\/a><\/strong> unites young leaders under 36 years old who are active in politics and decision-making roles, aiming to enhance youth political participation. Members, hailing from Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean, will collaborate with peers and Club de Madrid Members to shape global agendas through Policy Labs, fostering informed collective action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The WYDE Civic Engagement project <\/strong>is a component of the Women and Youth in Democracy Initiative (WYDE) by the European Commission.
