Jokate is a National Secretary General<\/strong> of the Tanzania CCM<\/a> Women\u2019s wing, where she relentlessly advocates for women\u2019s voices and their political advancement. As a prominent figure in Tanzanian politics, she brings over sixteen years of experience in beauty, fashion, and activism. Jokate holds a Master\u2019s degree in International Cooperation and Development and is the recipient of numerous public service awards both locally and internationally. She holds esteemed positions in global forums such as the Club de Madrid Forum\u2019s Youth and Women in Democracy Initiative, shaping initiatives for women\u2019s leadership across Africa. Jokate believes a democratised Africa offers the best platform for global development partners to engage in direct and sustainable development projects to uplift African communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The WYDE Civic Engagement<\/strong> Network of Young Decision-Makers<\/a><\/strong> unites young leaders under 36 years old who are active in politics and decision-making roles, aiming to enhance youth political participation. Members, hailing from Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean, will collaborate with peers and Club de Madrid Members to shape global agendas through Policy Labs, fostering informed collective action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The WYDE Civic Engagement project <\/strong>is a component of the Women and Youth in Democracy Initiative (WYDE) by the European Commission. The project aims to empower youth voices, foster international cooperation, and address the gaps in evidence on youth political engagement. <\/strong>More info on the project can be found on EPD’s website<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n
