The WYDE Civic Engagement Youth Advisory Board is the highest youth engagement body in the project. Its members are young beneficiaries from our activities, recruited for a one-year mandate to advise the management team, take part in the steering committees with the European Commission and occasionally represent the project in external events.
Suvechchha Chapagain has five years of experience in promoting civic engagement, good governance, and democracy in Nepal and was a member of the Youth Advisory Board (YAB) in 2023/2024 for the WYDE Civic Engagement project at EPD. She currently works as a Senior Program Officer at Accountability Lab Nepal. She frequently writes and organizes policy dialogues about various challenges facing Nepal’s democracy. She also co-hosts the “Accountabili-tea Podcast” to discuss different facets of Nepal’s development with experts. She pursued her Master’s degree in International Relationship and Diplomacy from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. She is also a fellow of the US State Department-sponsored Community Engagement Exchange Program (CEE).
The Youth Advisory Board is the main component of the youth engagement strategy of the project, ensuring that young people have a say in the implementation of the project.
