7 May 2024 - 14:00

Join the Youth Democracy Cohort for an engaging Knowledge Sharing session “Inclusive Democracy: Marginalised Voices Reclaiming Power” on May 7th at 2PM, where we’ll discuss the crucial theme of fostering inclusivity within civil society organisations (CSOs). This webinar will focus on how CSOs can better include marginalised groups, with a spotlight on people with disabilities (PwD) and youth.

Featuring speakers Sarah Timreck, Youth Engagement Program Officer at the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) and Jiwan Acharya, Program Officer for Civic Engagement and Political Participation at Blind Youth Association Nepal (BYAN) a YDC sub-granted organisation, the session will bring to the table committed experts with the aim to shape democracies for all.

Learn about the impact of involving persons with disabilities in governmental bodies, public policy formulation, and legislative processes. Discover strategies for promoting inclusivity within CSOs and advocating for the representation of marginalised groups in political and public life.
