As the global civic space has been reshaped with the digital age, young activists are driving social change through innovative digital strategies to protect their right to participate. This session will explore how young people across the Sahel, Asia, and Latin America are reshaping political participation through digital tools. Drawing on insights from the Digitalise Youth, WYDE Freedoms and WYDE Civic Engagement projects, this webinar invites participants to engage with frontline activists, compare regional perspectives, and co-develop new principles for inclusive digital participation.
This session was initially planned as part of the RightsCon summit in Zambia. Despite the summit’s cancellation, we have decided to host this conversation as a webinar to ensure these insights and youth perspectives can still be shared and discussed within our community.
