Hammadoun N’diaye is a Malian photojournalist, blogger and visual creator based in his native Mopti. His work is based on solid expertise in visual storytelling, digital communication and the fight against misinformation.
At La Voix de Mopti, he holds the position of Head of Audiovisual Production and Fact-checker, where he develops reliable, verified content. His commitment is aimed at strengthening the quality of local news and countering the rumors that fuel tensions in central Mali. Through his rigorous approach to fact-checking, he is helping to establish a culture of verification and responsibility in the handling of information. In 2024, he received two major distinctions at the Oscars of African Photography in Lomé, Togo: the Oscar d’Or, the highest award, and the prize for best fine art photography.
His vision, rooted in Malian reality, explores faces, traditions and everyday scenes to reveal dignity and resilience. His passion for Mopti guides all his work: an approach in which photography becomes a tool for memory, awareness and change, and in which verifying information strengthens trust between the media and communities.
