The WYDE Civic Engagement Youth Advisory Board is the highest youth engagement body in the project. Its members are young beneficiaries from our activities, recruited for a one-year mandate to advise the management team, take part in the steering committees with the European Commission and occasionally represent the project in external events.
Mumbiko King’ori is a 32-year-old former youngest Presidential Aspirant in Kenya (2022) and a member of the Youth Advisory Board of the WYDE Civic Engagement project in 2024/2025. He is a PhD student at the University of Nairobi, the Founder and Director of FinM Consult (a global financing strategy and management consultancy firm) and a member of the Kenya Inclusive Political Parties (KIPP) Technical Working Group with WFD. He volunteers as research and collaboration consultant for the Kenya Disability Parliamentarians Association (KEDIPA). He is also an East Africa Hub member for Women and Youth in Democracy (WYDE) and a certified Peace Master trainer with ICOYACA by UNESCO. Follow him on LinkedIn and on X(Twitter).
The Youth Advisory Board is the main component of the youth engagement strategy of the project, ensuring that young people have a say in the implementation of the project.
