
The projet “support the fight against cybercrime and the protection of citizens’ digital rights in Mali” aims to promote the digital rights of young Malians by strengthening understanding and popularisation of the law on cybercrime, while fostering constructive dialogue between youth organisations, public institutions and civil society.
Activities
- Analysis workshop on the challenges of the cybercrime law bringing together 40 young leaders from youth CSOs, influencers, jurists, technicians and authorities to present, explain and analyse the key provisions of the cybercrime law and their impact on digital rights.
- Advocacy workshop on young people’s digital rights with a digital rights expert to co-construct an advocacy note and a digital campaign
- Advocacy meetings with national institutions to deliver the advocacy brief and discuss recommendations.
Expected results

1 illustrated analysis report,
40 young people trained in the challenges of the cybercrime law,
50 CSOs made aware of the issues through dissemination of the report.

1 advocacy note guaranteeing the protection of individual rights and freedoms
1 digital campaign reaching 10,000 young people across Mali
