On 14 January 2025, the Youth Democracy Cohort will host its next “Knowledge Sharing” webinar, focusing on Women’s Representation in Politics, in collaboration with UN Women. The session will feature Lana Ačkar, a seasoned expert on women’s political participation and a Political Participation Policy Specialist at UN Women HQ in New York.
With more than a decade of experience advancing women’s roles in politics, Lana will guide participants through an in-depth discussion on the global state of women’s political representation, the persistent barriers they face, and strategies to enhance inclusion in decision-making roles. Her rich background, including work with OSCE and a deep engagement in human rights advocacy, positions her as an invaluable voice on this critical issue.
